Role Purpose
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Head: Marketing, Stakeholder Management & Communications to lead the organisation's marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement functions. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the organisation's profile, protecting its reputation, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and delivering integrated marketing and communication strategies that support the achievement of organisational objectives.
The role provides strategic leadership across branding, media relations, digital communications, stakeholder engagement, events, and corporate communications while ensuring effective budget management and continuous improvement of marketing and communication initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategy aligned with organisational objectives.
- Build brand awareness and maintain brand consistency across all communication platforms.
- Identify target audiences and develop effective marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate advertising opportunities across print and digital media.
- Manage branding initiatives, promotional material, and corporate identity standards.
- Coordinate graphic design, photography, videography, and production of marketing collateral.
- Identify and manage strategic partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for increased organisational visibility.
- Plan and coordinate corporate events, conferences, launches, and promotional activities.
- Manage media relations and respond to press enquiries professionally.
Stakeholder Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyse stakeholder needs and develop proactive engagement plans.
- Monitor and manage organisational reputation.
- Identify partnership opportunities that support strategic initiatives.
- Conduct stakeholder audits and implement improvement plans.
- Maintain stakeholder registers and engagement plans.
- Represent the organisation at meetings, industry events, conferences, and stakeholder forums.
Communications Management
- Develop and implement integrated internal and external communication strategies.
- Oversee content creation across all digital platforms, including:
- Website
- Facebook
- LinkedIn
- Instagram
- X (Twitter)
- YouTube
- Blogs and other digital channels
- Manage social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor and analyse digital marketing performance and website analytics.
- Coordinate content contributions with internal teams and external agencies.
- Optimise digital content for search engine performance (SEO).
- Ensure all communications align with brand standards and organisational messaging.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage the Marketing, Stakeholder Management, and Communications budget.
- Monitor expenditure and ensure cost-effective utilisation of resources.
- Process procurement activities and supplier payments in accordance with financial policies.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen organisational growth and membership initiatives.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on marketing and communications performance.
- Coordinate the compilation of the organisation's annual performance report.
- Maintain accurate records, statistics, and information management systems.
- Produce reports and performance data for executive management and governance structures.
Leadership & Strategic Support
- Provide strategic advice to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Marketing, Stakeholder Management, and Communications team.
- Establish performance objectives and monitor departmental effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement across marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement functions.
- Develop and implement new policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives where required.
