About the Job

Certivity's product turns unstructured regulatory content (PDFs, ministry portals, national databases worldwide) into structured, verifiable compliance intelligence that Daimler Truck, TÜV Rheinland and ZF engineers rely on to develop regulated products for a global market.

We build this with a stack that combines web-scale regulatory intelligence with fine-tuned OCR models, structured document extraction, self-hosted and frontier API models, ReAct patterns, and agentic workflows – all validated by human-in-the-loop review.

The Head of Product owns the roadmap across this stack end-to-end, reporting to our co-founder and CPO Bob (ex-Audi/JLR regulatory) and working alongside our CTO Jörg (ex-Informatica MDM/PIM platform, co-founded Certivity from the first line of code).

This is a scale-up role for a technical builder, not a portfolio-level product executive. Your job is to bring clarity and prioritization to an R&D organization that has outgrown informal coordination, and to be the person who understands the product deeply enough to make the right technical trade-offs.

What you will do

Own the end-to-end roadmap across ingestion, AI extraction, agent orchestration, and the client-facing SaaS. Know how each layer works, what it costs, and where it breaks.
Make technical trade-off decisions: model selection, accuracy vs. cost, agentic vs. rule-based, when to buy vs. build. You are in the room when the C-level and R&D leads argue about eval methodology, and your product judgment is grounded in understanding what they are arguing about.
Lead two Product Owners across our R&D squads. Set the pattern for how prioritization, technical discovery, and delivery discipline work in this team.
Sit close to customers, regulatory experts, and R&D. Run technical discovery conversations yourself, not through a sales layer. Translate what our clients need into product decisions.

Your profile

You have shipped production AI features in a B2B software or SaaS context, ideally as Head of Product, VP Product, CPTO or founding product leader. You are not on your first AI product.
You have technical substance. Physics, engineering, computer science background, or a career that started in engineering and moved into product. You are comfortable reading system architecture diagrams and comfortable pushing back on an engineer with a specific technical argument, not just a business one.
You can name the AI methodology you have shipped: agentic workflows, tool use and orchestration, eval frameworks, model selection trade-offs, drift detection, accuracy validation with human-in-the-loop. Ideally you are prototyping in Claude Code, Cursor, n8n, or similar in your own time to stay close to the craft.
You have worked at scale-up B2B SaaS, ideally in a technically ambitious environment where the answer is not obvious and where AI is central to the product, not a marketing layer on top of it.
You can operate fluently in English (C1). German is a plus.
