Job Specification –Payments Analyst – Kroll Agency and Trustee Services Limited

Duties

  • Checking a payment file(s) for the borrower payment (plus any other remittances required under the funds flow) in Connexis for release of funds by the Payments or the relationship management Team
  • Checking and releasing payment files for payment of interest, fees and principal due to the lenders
  • Managing ad-hoc / unscheduled payments of principal – liaising with relationship management team to administer unscheduled payments of loan principal and accrued interest in accordance with facility agreements and Kroll’s procedures. This is to include:
  • Checking and releasing payment files in Connexis for each lender share of repayment / prepayment. Tracking and monitoring the payments during their various approval and release stages. 
  • Ensure that payments are released prior to the cut - off time for the various currency. 
  • Advising BNP Paribas of upcoming account activity
  • Performing call backs on first time payments. Call backs are to be done in a highly professional and client-focused manner and should, at the same time as verifying the authenticity of a payment instruction should positively add to the overall client experience
  • Providing relevant training to the new joiners and refreshers to the Ops Team.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks and duties – undertake other ad-hoc tasks and duties as and when the need arises.


Expertise

  • Previous relevant experience in a payments role / financial services environment within an operational team
  • Be a Payment operations Subject Matter expert to provide guidance to the Teams.

  • Conscientious, detail-oriented individual who works hard in an accurate and time effective manner, always paying strict attention to cut off times and deadlines

  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise within a busy and fast paced, dynamic working environment
  • Confidence to build strong professional relationships with other Teams within the Company

 

Skills

  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail and an understanding of risk

  • Good organisational and time management skills, ability to balance workload, dealing with multiple priorities and ability to work within a team in a changing environment

  • Numeracy and literacy skills
  • Experience of investigating payment failures and exceptions
  • Knowledge and practical experience of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team
